What If

Ok I know I need at least eight hours of sleep a night and looking at the clock I can see I am going to get six at a push, I would love nothing more now than to be curled up in dreamland but alas that state is avoiding me, so I browse thru my facebook page and come across a friend who is having a birthday it sounds like a dream day attentive husband , loving wishes from many friends and family and life is near to perfect if you read her bio on where she lives, marital state number of children and state of mind.

Which of course then lead me to start thinking of Sex in the City as I tossed and turned and who I most resemble well you’d think Charlotte she has children and proberly the least perfect figure, but then I would give anything to say to any of my five darlings “Mommy’s just needs some time to herself’ and then proceed to hide in my walk in pantry whilst looking like a stepford house wife with just a dash of icing smeared on my face only to be rescured by my nanny, who buy the way bra or no bra no sensible women would ever employ not because of the thought of your other half leering at her  but because the thought of seeing her near perfect twenty something boobs everyday would cause me never to get out of bed lammenting the days where once my own boobs were as spectacular and now languised sadly on top of my stomach when sitting or star gazaed at the ground when standing,.

No Charlotte wasn’t me, I’d like to say Carrie who wouldn’t?? with the perfect husband, the most spectacular apartment, dream job,and to die for shoes and clothes.

No I found Carrie irratating, what are some of the sayings you have heard when we so want to justify our own mortal excistance,’Dosen’t know a good thing when its in front of her’,you never know what you have till you’ve lost it’, ‘the grass isn’t always greener on the other side’. No this time around I wanted to slap her not be like her

No I admired Samatha, no where as near as sexually aware or liberrated as Sam, I admire her ability to speak her mind and quite frankly she made me laugh out loud her wit and deliavery of her lines is priceless. Which brings me  back around to the thoughts and feelings swirling around in my head as I read my friends comments and thoughts on Facebook I too have a few Sam, Carrie’s and even Charlottte’s listed in my friends are there lives really as they tell it?? am I the only one who looks everyone of my forty years? is only satisfied with my job instead of driven excited and powerful am I the only one with a sometimes thoughtless and more often than not disengaged partner, does anyone else have sneering teenagers and squibling little ones?.

Is facebook a true yardstick to compare yourself?
